About the event

Join us for a morning of connection, learning, and mālama ʻāina at the Donkey Mill Art Center! DMAC teaching artists JJ Cook Tripp and Waiala Ahn will lead us in a community workday to plant native species around the Donkey Mill landscape, helping to replace non-native plants with ones that reflect and support our native environments.
Together, we’ll talk story and learn hands-on techniques for planting and caring for native plants. All ages and experience levels are welcome—come ready to get your hands in the soil and your heart in the land.
Bring sun protection, water, and a willingness to learn!
Carpooling strongly encouraged as parking is limited.
