Matt Higa's Design Description for his shirt design, 'O'opu:  "Playing off of the Dadaist "This is not a pipe." "This is landscape architecture." with the gobi above I think would cause a lot of confusion, but good confusion for the viewer. Landscape architecture isn't an isolated practice, the lines that we draw on paper impact many things beyond the extents of our projects. 'O'opu are an indicator species that show when a native hawaiian freshwater stream is healthy. This concept I believe will help people understand that landscape architectural design's impacts doesn't end on site, it has many impacts."
